Is the fit tight? I don't want compression around the pouch area.
The EcoLuxe has a Front pouch that gives enough room without being loose. It holds things in place without squeezing. Think supportive, not compressive. If you're between sizes, size up.
Will it get hot and sweaty down there?
Modal is naturally breathable and pulls moisture away from the skin. It doesn't trap heat the way synthetic fabrics do. If you've worn polyester underwear in summer, you know the problem. This isn't that.
Will the leg hem leave marks or dig into my thighs?
No elastic at the leg openings. The hem sits flat against the skin. No band, no ring marks at the end of the day.
Are there any chemicals or dyes I should be worried about?
No harsh dyes, no chemical finishes. The fabric is skin-safe and free from the synthetic coatings that cheaper underwear uses to feel soft temporarily. What you feel on day one is what you'll feel on day 100.
What is modal fabric and why does it matter for underwear?
Modal is made from beechwood pulp. It's a natural fiber, not synthetic. What that means for you practically: it's softer than cotton, doesn't scratch, doesn't trap heat, and stays breathable even after hours of wear. Most cheap underwear uses polyester or polyester blends. That's why it feels sticky by afternoon. Modal doesn't do that.
