Organic cotton, with just enough stretch.

Most socks blend in polyester or nylon for shape. We use cotton for the sock and a small amount of stretch so it stays up. That is the whole list.

97% organic cotton, 3% ROICA V550 stretch for fit. ROICA V550 is a premium stretch fiber from Asahi Kasei, designed to gradually break down over time, unlike regular spandex. It's still a synthetic, so we use only what the fit needs. Zero polyester.

The door and the hinge

Think of a door and its hinge. In our socks, the door is 97% organic cotton. It's what you feel against your skin. The hinge is a small exception: 3% ROICA V550, a stretch fiber that lets the sock move and spring back into shape. It was developed by Asahi Kasei with circularity in mind. It's designed to gradually break down over time, and the fiber itself holds Cradle to Cradle Certified® Material Health Gold. It's still a synthetic, so we use only what the fit needs. No polyester.

Are these socks polyester-free?

Yes. They contain zero polyester and no nylon.

Why is there ROICA?

3% ROICA gives the sock enough stretch to fit and stay up. The rest is 97% organic cotton.

What is ROICA?

ROICA V550 is a premium stretch fiber from Asahi Kasei. It's designed to gradually break down over time, and we use just 3% so the sock fits and holds its shape.

What sizes are available?

Two sizes. M fits US 7-10. L fits US 10.5-13.

Which size should I choose?

US 7-10, choose M. US 10.5-13, choose L. M has two lines marked on the sock and L has three, so pairs are easy to sort.

How should I wash them?

Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low or hang dry.
